We start unhurried. We meet, we talk, we get to know each other a little — much like a date. That ease is the whole secret: you can't look relaxed and yourself in front of a camera unless you actually are, and getting you there is my job.

After 25 years behind a camera, I know how to get the best out of anyone, even people who are sure they photograph badly. My aim is simple: photos that feel like a friend caught you on a good day and you happen to look amazing.

A session is a focused morning — two to two-and-a-half hours, just you and me. We'll move through about seven looks across indoor and outdoor settings, and I'll fold in a portrait you can use professionally plus my read on how your profile's landing. You leave with everything you need, from one sitting.

How it works

I photograph in New York and San Francisco on a limited schedule each year. Tell me your city and a little about what you're looking for. If there's a window that works, I'll be in touch with the details — and if not, I'll let you know when I'm next near you.

POST SESSION:

A week after your session, you will receive a Dropbox link with 4 folders:

The complete shoot
An edit of the shoot - Charlie will sort through the 800-1500 photos and select the ones that best showcased you.
A duplicate of the edit, FILTERED - each section of will be processed through a unique set of filters, correcting for color, contrast to enhance the photos and also to give the appearance the photos are taken at different times.
Top selects - the best of the best!

Through the post-production process, your session now comprises of great portraits and 3/4 shots that are great for online dating, social media profile, professional profiles and etc. Our online presence and presentation matters more and more, invest in how the world sees you.
